Wendy is in the hospital

Posted at Friday, March 30th, 2007

I took Wendy to the Emergency Room at 6 a.m. this morning for dehydration. She got nailed pretty hard with the virus that my family has been suffering through. She was vomiting throughout the night and, after praying about it, we decided it best to go into the ER to be rehydrated.

After staying till noon, hydration returned to Wendy, but her blood pressure was low and her heartbeat high. The doctor thought it best to keep her for the night. She’s taking medications for nausea and she is being tested for viral infections. Maybe we’ll figure out what the Jeub family has been suffering with!

Please pray with us that Wendy will make a swift recovery. Lord willing, we’ll be out of the hospital in the morning!

Skiing down the slopes of Colorado

Posted at Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

I took six of the 13 kids skiing yesterday. What a blast. Though I personally spent the entire day on the bunny hill training our first-year skier, Tabitha, I wouldn’t trade it for an entire week on the slopes. I captured a great video of all of us skiing down Loveland. Check it out…

Passover Seder Meal

Posted at Sunday, March 25th, 2007

The Passover Seder meal is something my mother started when my sisters and I were kids. The tradition passed on into my family in the 1990s. To get the entire family together (two adult children with busy schedules), we celebrated tonight (Sunday), all 13 kids and 1 grandkid in the dining room.

Seder Passover
The Jeubs prepare for Passover

I revised the script that my mom wrote in the mid 70s. You can view it here (Jeub Family Passover). The script does a great job tying the traditions of the Jewish faith with the parallels to Christianity. Enjoy the read!

If you are interested in celebrating the Seder with your family, you can do so this coming Thursday night. Jews all over the world will be celebrating with you. While they wait for the coming of their Messiah, you can celebrate with your children the reality of the coming of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the ultimate “Passover.”
