We will likely get a ton of visits to our family website this Christmas. TLC is showing the entire line of “Kids by the Dozen” television show. Truth be known, over 50 hours of film was captured to be whittled down to 42 minutes of broadcast. If you are REALLY interested in digging deeper into the life of the Jeub Family, order our book. We would appreciate the order! But, the following links should help you find out much of “the rest of the story” of the Jeubs:

The Learning Channel is showing the latest season of “Kids by the Dozen” — all five episodes in a row — on Christmas Eve starting at 6:00 pm Eastern. We were sent all five episodes a month ago and thoroughly enjoyed them. While you likely will be enjoying your family on Christmas Eve, perhaps setting the recorder to capture the shows would be in order. Visit The Learning Channel’s site for exact information.

Wendy and I had the privilege of attending a prescreening of Denzel Washington’s The Great Debaters. I also attended the movie with Plugged In reviewer Paul Asay. I’m quite pleased with the movie and the honor of watching the show before the rest of the world (the movie releases Christmas day).
I wrote a review that was posted on Training Minds Ministry’s website here. There are also some links that you may enjoy. Merry Christmas!

I know we promised to have our Christmas letter posted LAST week. It is always a challenge to get these copies out the door in time for Christmas. We have only missed one Christmas several years ago, and we’re not going to miss this year. You can download the PDF version of the letter here: Read the rest of this entry »

Hello, friends. If you’ve been keeping up with the events of the recent shootings at New Life Church and YWAM, you know of the deaths of two young ladies. There is a memorial fund set up at New Life for this family. Half of the Works children were killed on Sunday morning. If you can give, please do so:

We wrote an FAQ a couple weeks ago, but our FAQs don’t automatically publish to the front page. Check it out…
We received a question from Maria asking how we budget for Christmas. We surprise people when we say we spend roughly $300 during the month of December specifically for Christmas gifts. Here are some principles we live by throughout the year to make sure we’re prepared during the Christmas season…

Yesterday morning we had one family over for church in our home. The weather the night before was tough, so we decided to hang low at home. The family who came over were old friends with the Works family. Two members of the family were the two fatalities of the shooting at New Life Church.
I spoke with Terry this morning when he knew more about the situation than the media. The Works family is a beautiful family, four daughters. The oldest twins age 18, littler sisters Rachel (16) and Grace (13). Stephanie, one of the twins, died on the scene. Rachel died last night. David, the father, was also shot and is in the hospital. Marie, the mother, was in shock last night from the events. Her sister (a closer friend of Terry’s) is on her way from Illinois to comfort. Another friend of Terry’s, a member of Rachel’s Tears (a ministry based from the Columbine shootings), is also involved.
I’ll post more in this article link as I learn of this tragedy. For now, please pray and fast for the Works family and all those involved in comforting them…

The kids and I worked on a photo montage yesterday reflecting on the events of 2007. This is typically how we plan our Christmas letter. We lay out all our photos that we gathered and then come up with stories on what we did in the past year. We’re putting that Christmas letter together this week (have you sent us yours yet???). For now, enjoy the montage!
