It was standing-room only when approximately 500 moms and dads gathered in a ballroom in Duluth, Minnesota to hear Wendy and I debut our “Cheaper by the Baker’s Dozen” presentation. The principles of frugal living left many taking diligent notes. The presentation went great! We met many folks who have bought our book and many who we have emailed with over the years. Several old friends from high school and college came up to chat at our booth.

We have one more day of the MACHE conference. We may sell out of Wendy’s cookbook today (we have less than 100 left). We figured over 90% of those who thumbed through it at our table bought it. This is not your ordinary cookbook! Some comments:

I was glad to see Wendy speak at our church yesterday morning. I sincerely hope that those in attendance will share her experience with others in need. I am also happy that I received my cookbook and CD on Friday. My husband and boys and I spent the evening reading through the recipes. We already have a list of those to try out. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your amazing workshop at MACHE. It was my favorite of the entire conference. Your tips were so practical. There’s just one thing I want to request. I finished Love in the House last night, and was thinking about how much every Christian parent needs to read this book!! Please tell people that this book will change their family, because it will. I just can’t say it any other way. I’m just walking around in amazement today, wondering why I never thought of those things. It’s like the light bulb went on in my parenting, it’s incredible. May God’s blessings continue to increase in your lives, and thank you for the blessing you have been to me.
