And now it's CBS

WE tv is doing a documentary on our family. A camera crew of four (two producers, a cameraman and sound guy) came yesterday and filmed the children, Wendy power-walking, me taking the older girls to the office, and some interviews. The weather was absolutely beautiful and conversation rich. Today we’re wrapping up with a celebration of Cynthia’s Golden Birthday (she turns 17 today!) and some deeper interviews. Here is a video montage of the two days of clips, and some pics…

By the way, the “please, no pictures” from the cameraman, John, was a joke. =)

That last one is Isaiah with the camera and Micah with the sound, a role reversal. The WE tv crew was being “interviewed.”

    Hey I see that new kitchen in the picture with Wendy! Did you ever post on how you did it for cheap? I remember you mentioning it. We are slowly remodeling our own home, as cash permits so any advice would be great! (It looks great by the way. :)

    I am glad that people are interested in your family, then you can get the word out about being more open to children. I think you guys are changing society in your own wonderful way. Your book Love in the House has been recommended by me many times and I am reading it to refresh on while I am so overwhelmed these days with my 4 kids. Please let us know when this airs!!!!!

    Hey we didn’t see the finished kitchen. It looks absolutly beautiful…. I can’t wait to see it, please keep us posted on when it airs. I still have the original saved on my DVR and my 3 yr old loves to watch it.

    We would love to see it when it comes out but we don’t have any tv reception in our home. Maybe we can get a relative to tape it for us. We hope it all goes well and is presented in a fair and nice way.
    I like the picture of the WE tv crew was being “interviewed.” I wonder if any of that film may make it to the final cut? :)

    Please post when it is complete, and if we can buy another in dvd form as before. We don’t have t.v. anymore, but would love an updated version!!! We need encouragement out there considering all the sadness behind the reality of other t.v. families. Lots of prayer, lots of prayer!!!

    I have been wanting to contact you for a while. Ever since I saw the show Kids by the Dozen. I really am grateful that God saw fit to have you and your family represent quiverfull families on national tv.

    I am the mother of 6 younger children. 4 girls and 2 boys ages 9 down to 20 months. It\’s been a bigger break for us not to have another baby by now! I can\’t say that it\’s been an easy break since I have been wanting another blessing for a while now. But I feel like God knows what he is doing and knows better than I do. I have been very overwhelmed and stress the past few years and God definitely knows that! Things are getting a lot better and I found out that my hormones are off so that is being addressed as well. (I have high prolactin levels even though I haven\’t nursed a baby in 17 months)

    Stories of your family have really opened my eyes to what it means to be a quiverfull family. It has nothing to do with everyone matching all the time or the house being immaculate or even with me being the perfect mother all day, everday. I had come to compare myself to another quiverfull mother that I know rather than trying to live up to what God wanted me to be. Don\’t get me wrong, she is a great mother but her life is her life and her circumstances are different than mine. Seeing how happy and healthy you all are really made me rethink my priorities in life and whether or not they were what God wanted my priorities to be. Thank you for being an instrument of God to help me understand this.

    You and your family are really a blessing. I hope and pray all the best for each and every one of you.
