Contractions started at about 9:00 am this morning. They’ve been steady since, gaining momentum.
Funny how life ticks along. This morning we were in the process of getting ready for a debate tournament. Cynthia, Lydia, Isaiah, Micah and Noah had to leave at 11:30 (without Dad), and Tabitha, Keilah, Hannah, Josiah, Havilah, Joshua, Priscilla and Zechariah ended up hanging out at home. Plan: Debate Rounds at 1:30 and 3:30, we’ll connect on the phone in between, forfeit a round if necessary. They didn’t need to, thankfully.
Cynthia and Lydia desperately want to be here for the birth. I asked the boys if they wanted to be here. “Been at 10, you’ve been at them all,” was their response. We had a good laugh. Boys. They packed a bag and are ready to stay in Colorado Springs for the night.
Yes, we deliver our children at home. The midwife will be by later this evening. My guess is this evening we’ll have the 16th Jeub join us in our home tonight. We appreciate your prayers. We’ll post news in the morning!
